Tender, caramelized, and kissed with sweet heat — these Air Fryer Hot Honey Glazed Carrots are a quick, irresistible side dish with a bold, spicy-sweet flavor that’ll steal the show.

Origin Air Fryer Hot Honey Glazed Carrots

Rooted in Southern kitchens where hot honey is a beloved condiment, this recipe combines the simplicity of roasted carrots with the trendy heat of chili-spiked honey — all made easier in the air fryer.

What I Love About This Recipe

The carrots become perfectly tender inside, with slightly crispy edges outside, and that hot honey glaze? Game-changing. It’s fast, flavor-packed, and so easy to clean up.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) carrots, peeled and cut into sticks or coins

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 2 tbsp hot honey (or mix 2 tbsp honey + ½ tsp chili flakes or hot sauce)

  • Optional: fresh thyme or parsley for garnish

Directions

  • Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Toss carrots in olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  • Place carrots in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  • Air fry for 12–15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until lightly browned and fork-tender.
  • Drizzle hot honey over the warm carrots and toss to coat evenly.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with herbs if desired.

Notes

  • For spicier flavor, add extra chili flakes to the honey before glazing.
  • Works with rainbow carrots too — beautiful and flavorful!
  • Serve alongside grilled chicken, roast turkey, or even as a holiday side.
