200 g (7 oz) thinly sliced beef (ribeye or sirloin)
1 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp white miso paste
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp mirin
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp ginger, grated
4 cups chicken or beef broth
1 tbsp butter (optional, for richness)
Soft-boiled egg
Corn kernels
Green onions, sliced
Nori (seaweed)
Bean sprouts

Directions
- Heat sesame oil in a pot over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger, sauté until fragrant.
- Add sliced beef and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Stir miso paste, soy sauce, and mirin into the pot. Slowly add broth, whisking to dissolve miso. Bring to a gentle simmer.
