A fruity and refreshing twist on the classic Whiskey Sour, the Peach Whiskey Sour combines the smoothness of bourbon with the sweet and tangy flavors of fresh peaches and citrus. It’s the perfect summer cocktail with a warm, cozy depth that makes it enjoyable year-round.
Origin of Peach Whiskey Sour
The Whiskey Sour dates back to the 1860s and is one of the oldest classic cocktails, originally crafted as a way to balance the strong notes of whiskey with the tartness of lemon juice. The addition of peach, a Southern favorite, brings a modern and slightly sweeter variation, making it a refreshing take on this beloved drink.
What I Love About This Recipe
I love how the ripe peach flavor blends beautifully with the smoky richness of bourbon. The natural sweetness balances the tart lemon juice, creating a smooth yet vibrant cocktail. The addition of egg white gives it a luxurious frothy texture, making each sip incredibly satisfying
