Ingredients

1 cup brewed sweet tea (cooled)
1 tbsp fresh mint leaves, chopped
1–2 tbsp honey or sugar (adjust to sweetness)
½ tsp lime juice
1 cup lime juice (freshly squeezed)
½ cup orange juice
1–2 tbsp agave syrup or sugar (adjust to sweetness)
½ cup water
1 tbsp fresh mint leaves (optional for garnish)

Directions

In a bowl, mix cooled sweet tea with honey or sugar, lime juice, and fresh mint. Stir well until sweetener is dissolved.
For the Margarita Layer:
In a separate bowl, combine lime juice, orange juice, water, and agave syrup. Stir to combine.
Pour the sweet tea julep mixture into popsicle molds, filling halfway. Freeze for 2–3 hours until firm.
Once the sweet tea layer is frozen, pour the margarita mixture over the top to fill the molds. Insert sticks and freeze for another 4–6 hours, or until completely frozen.
To release the popsicles, run warm water over the outside of the mold for a few seconds.
Serve chilled and garnish with a sprig of mint if desired.

Notes

Adjust the sweetness of both layers to your taste. You can add more sugar or agave for extra sweetness or cut back if you prefer a more tart flavor.
For an adult version, add a splash of tequila or bourbon to the margarita layer before freezing.
These popsicles can be made in advance and stored in the freezer for a week or more.
