These Lemon-Glazed Carrots are the perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and savory. The carrots are tender, with a refreshing lemon flavor that pairs beautifully with any main dish. They are quick to make and are a great side for any meal.

Origin Lemon-Glazed Carrots

Lemon-glazed carrots are a modern twist on the classic way of preparing carrots. Roasting or sautéing vegetables with citrus is a technique that has been widely used in Mediterranean cuisine, where lemon is a staple ingredient. The refreshing citrus adds brightness to the sweetness of the carrots, making it a perfect side dish for a variety of cuisines.

What I Love About This Recipe

I love how simple yet flavorful this dish is. The combination of the earthy carrots with the zesty lemon glaze adds such a nice contrast in flavor. The tenderness of the carrots along with the bright acidity from the lemon makes this side dish not only healthy but also refreshing. It’s easy to make, light on the palate, and goes wonderfully with most main courses.
