20 Oreo cookies, crushed (some chunks, some crumbs)
4 cups mini marshmallows (or 1 bag, 10 oz)
4 tbsp unsalted butter
½ tsp vanilla extract
A pinch of salt
½ cup white chocolate chips (optional, for extra creaminess)
Directions
- Prepare the pan: Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or line with parchment paper.
- Crush the Oreos: Place the Oreos in a ziplock bag and crush them into a mix of fine crumbs and larger chunks.
- Melt the butter and marshmallows: In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the marshmallows and stir until fully melted and smooth. Stir in the vanilla extract and salt.
- Mix in the cereal: Remove from heat and quickly fold in the Rice Krispies and crushed Oreos, stirring gently to coat everything evenly.
- Press into the pan: Transfer the mixture into the prepared dish and press down lightly with a buttered spatula (don’t compact too much, or they’ll be hard).
