Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen mango, diced

  • 1 cup fresh or canned pineapple, diced

  • ½ small red onion, finely chopped

  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar

  • ¼ cup brown sugar (adjust to taste)

  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp red chili flakes (optional, for heat)

  • Salt, to taste

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Directions

  • In a saucepan, heat the oil over medium heat.
  • Add onion, ginger, and garlic. Sauté for 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
  • Add mango, pineapple, vinegar, brown sugar, and spices. Stir well.
  • Simmer uncovered for 20–25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the fruit breaks down and the chutney thickens.
  • Taste and adjust seasoning. Let cool before serving.
