Ingredients

  • 8–10 lasagna sheets

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 1 cup ricotta cheese

  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • Fresh basil or parsley for garnish

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

  • Cook lasagna sheets according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute). Add marinara sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of marinara sauce. Layer lasagna sheets, dollops of ricotta, a sprinkle of mozzarella and Parmesan, and more sauce. Repeat layers until ingredients are used, finishing with cheese on top.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes until bubbly and golden on top.
  • Garnish with fresh basil or parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, add cooked ground beef or sausage in the sauce.
  • You can substitute spinach or mushrooms between layers for a veggie boost.
  • Let the pasta rest for 5 minutes before slicing to help it set.
