What I Love About This Recipe

The contrast between the calming warmth of chamomile and the lively fizz of Prosecco makes this cocktail truly special. Ingredients

  • 1 chamomile tea bag (or 1 teaspoon dried chamomile flowers)

  • ½ cup hot water

  • 1 tablespoon honey

  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

  • 3 ounces chilled Prosecco

  • Ice (optional)

  • Fresh chamomile flowers or lemon twist (for garnish)

Directions

  • Brew the chamomile tea: Steep the chamomile tea bag in hot water for about 5-7 minutes. Remove the tea bag and let the tea cool to room temperature.
  • Sweeten the tea: Stir in the honey while the tea is still warm so it dissolves completely. Let it cool.
  • Mix the cocktail: In a champagne flute or coupe glass, combine the cooled chamomile tea and lemon juice.
  • Top with Prosecco: Slowly pour the chilled Prosecco over the tea mixture. Stir gently to combine.
  • Garnish and serve: Add a fresh chamomile flower or a lemon twist for an elegant touch. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey to taste.
  • For an iced version, chill the chamomile tea in the refrigerator and serve over ice.
  • If you prefer a stronger floral flavor, steep the chamomile tea longer.
